A double celebration!
I've been sitting on some amazing news and finally I'm able to share the press release . . .
Television rights in Mari Hannah’s Kate Daniels crime series have been optioned by Gina Carter and Stephen Fry at Sprout Pictures. The deal was negotiated by Daniel Nixon at Blake Friedmann on behalf of Oliver Munson at AM Heath & Co.
Gina Carter says: ‘Stephen and I are thrilled to be working with Mari on bringing the extraordinary Kate Daniels to life. I loved Kate from the start, her personal life is as captivating, intriguing and as complex as the cases she investigates.’
Mari Hannah says ‘From the moment I began talking to Sprout Pictures I knew we were the right fit for each other. Gina’s enthusiasm and vision for the series blew me away. The prospect of working with her and Stephen is almost too exciting for words.’
Four books in the award winning Northumberland based series have been published by Pan Macmillan with a fifth, KILLING FOR KEEPS, due in December. Wayne Brookes at Pan Macmillan has also contracted Hannah for a further two more Kate Daniels books, the first of which will be published in 2016.
All I can say is, go Kate!
