More news for Kate . . .

For visitors here who are not on Twitter, I'd like to share some exciting news. I've been shortlisted for the prestigeous CWA Dagger in the Library. The announcement was made by Dead Good Books who sponsor the award. You can view the shortlist by clicking here.

The Dagger in the Library award is all the more special because it is readers who decide which authors make the longlist. Beyond that, it was judged this year by past winner, Steve Mosby, UK librarians - Mobeena Khan, Stewart Bain, Jennifer Stewart, Sue Wilkinson - and the director of the Crime Writers' Association, Lucy Santos. I'm honoured to have made the final cut and would like to thank everyone who voted for me.

The winner will be annouced in London at the beginning of December - time and venue to be confirmed.
