I'm moving (publishing) house.
I'm thrilled to announce a three book deal with publishing giant Orion Publishing to write a new series. The Orion name is synonymous with exceptional crime writers whose work I admire – I’m so proud to have joined them and thrilled at the prospect of a new challenge and being published to a wider, international audience.
This is what Orion said: the first is a major deal for world rights for Mari Hannah, which sees the award winning crime writer move from Pan Macmillan to Orion Fiction. Pathak acquired three novels from Oli Munson at A.M. Heath in the Stone and Oliver series, with the first book, The Lost, being published as a paperback original in Spring 2018.
And a little hint of what is to come: Set against the backdrop of inner city Newcastle and the dramatic wilderness of Northumberland, the series follows DI David Stone, who has just arrived home from the Met police, and DS Frankie Oliver, a third generation detective who followed her father and grandfather into the force.
So, to bring you right up to date, I'm already working on The Lost and welcome you all to share in this new and exciting journey.
