Books ARE my Bag

A day that celebrates books and bookshops is always welcome. The Books Are My Bag campaign was an outstanding success yesterday, kicking off with a bookshop party at Forum Books in Corbridge, my local independent store.

We had cake and balloons and lots of fun with owner Helen Stanton who works extremely hard to support readers and writers throughout the year. It was a pleasure to join her and her staff along with other local authors.

I think Helen's window display was amazing - check out The Murder Wall centre stage! I just knew that orange cover was right as soon as I saw it. 

We had a lovely party and I'd really like to thank all those readers who came along to make the party so special. You were ace!
